Princess Louisa of Great Britain was born on December 19, 1749, in Leicester House, London, England. She was the youngest daughter of King George II and Queen Caroline of Ansbach. Louisa was known for her beauty and charm, and was considered one of the most popular members of the royal family.
She never married and spent most of her life with her unmarried sisters, Princess Caroline and Princess Amelia. The three sisters were known as "The Three Graces" because of their beauty and wit.
Louisa was educated at home and was fluent in French and German. She was also a skilled musician and artist, and enjoyed playing the harpsichord and painting.
Princess Louisa died on May 19, 1768, at the age of 18, following a bout of smallpox. She was buried in Westminster Abbey alongside her sisters, Princess Caroline and Princess Amelia.
